.Removing the lower
rear seat cushion
-
Give yourself some extra room by sliding
both front seats full forward.
-
Use your ratchet and 12mm socket to
remove the two seat cushion bolts .
-
Gently lift and pull out the seat
cushion.
-
CAREFULLY remove it from the car and put
in a safe place away from where you are working. It is extremely light.

Remove the seat rail end plastic end caps,
and then remove the 2 14mm bolts that secure the seat rails.

Gently, but firmly pull up. This is
a little "rivet" like thing that pops out. The main thing you want to do
is make sure you don't damage your trim! I worked it up and down a
few times and then gave a firmer tug up...and pop there it went.
Gently pry up the lower trim on the rear
door jamb. There are two clips. These should come out easier
than the fastener. Just make sure you apply even pressure to the trim to
avoid damaging it (Figure 10).
Gently pry up the lower trim on the front
door jamb. There are four clips. These should come out
easier than the fastener. Just make sure you apply even pressure to the
trim to avoid damaging it. You do not need to remove the front fastener
(Figure 11).
CAREFULLY grab the center trim on the
b-pillar, and pull it towards the front of the car. Work a small
section at a time. Once it gets past a certain point, the whole thing
loosens up.

Remove the rear b-pillar fastener to
release the entire piece (Figure 12).
With the b-pillar trim off, locate the small
clip under the carpet next to the rear door jamb. Gently pry the
clip lose (a small screwdriver might help, but make sure not to don't force the
clip, or scratch your paint) (Figure 13).

Push the carpet back (it's very stiff, so
be firm).
Locate the brass 14mm bolt holding the
left-hand driver's side lap belt.
and unbolt it with the 14mm wrench. This is tedious due to limited space,
so just alternate between open and closed end as best you can.
Carefully remove the bolt, noting the
order of all the washers. Remove the bolt, and slip the
left-hand lap belt on the bolt. Then replace all the stock hardware.
Tighten the bolt as best you can.
You can get the torque wrench in, but it requires peeling back more
carpet. I just tightened as much as I could with the wrench. (Probably
more than 30 ft-lbs)
Ok, now put the belts into the slot in
the carpet, replace the carpet clip.
Put the b-pillar trim back on, making
sure than the stock seat belt (the part that goes to the roller) is BEHIND the
trim. Put all remaining trim pieces back on in exactly the reverse order
of how they came off. Remember to do the fastener for the rear trim piece
near the "E" mounting point!
